The problem

JTR Collections was contacted by a customer owing over £2,000 in council tax. The customer proposed repaying £10 monthly, which would take over 16 years.

Like many firms, they faced challenges in conducting thorough income and expenditure assessments over the phone - especially when trying to manage time effectively while still supporting vulnerable individuals fairly and ethically.
Our solution

JTR referred the customer to IE Hub’s digital income and expenditure platform. The customer completed the I&E online that day and shared it securely with JTR, avoiding lengthy phone calls and allowing them to proceed at their own pace.

Using IE Hub’s CRM integration, JTR accessed the I&E data, assessed the customer’s surplus, and adjusted the repayment plan for verified affordability. The new £100/month arrangement was updated in the system, providing transparency and peace of mind.
